North Team Captures 2026 North/South Cup at White Horse

The North Team claimed the 2026 Western Washington PGA North/South Cup, defeating the South Team 11–9 over two days of match play at White Horse Golf Club.

The competition opened Wednesday with five Four-Ball matches over the first nine holes, followed by five Foursomes matches on the second nine. The North Team came out firing in Four-Ball, winning four of five matches to take an early 4–1 advantage. Daniel Campbell and Cody Oakes, Blake Snyder and Tyler Claybrook, Josh Scothorne and Shayne Day, and Chas Holmes and Tyler Copp each earned victories for the North, while Ben Talbot and Chad Wagner picked up the South’s lone point.

The afternoon Foursomes session was much more evenly contested. Campbell and Oakes earned a 5 & 3 victory for the North, while Branning Luvaas and Nathaniel Colo answered with a 2 & 1 win for the South. The other three matches finished tied, resulting in a 2.5–2.5 split and sending the North into Thursday’s Singles with a 6.5–3.5 lead.

The South made a strong push in Thursday’s ten Singles matches, winning the session 5.5–4.5, but the North’s three-point advantage from Day One proved to be the difference. North victories came from Josh Scothorne, Daniel Campbell, David Phay and Nick Krantz, while Cody Oakes added a half point with a tied match against Nick Long. The South received victories from Mike Haack, Ben Bergner, Branning Luvaas, Chad Wagner and Ben Talbot.

With the Singles points added, the North held on for the 11–9 victory and the 2026 North/South Cup title.

A big thank you to North Captain Blake Snyder and South Captain Mitch Runge for leading their respective teams and helping make this year’s matches such a great event. We also want to thank Bruce Christy and White Horse Golf Club for hosting us. The North/South Cup continues to be a special event on our calendar, combining high-level competition with the camaraderie and new friendships that make team golf so much fun.
