2019 Western Washington PGA Tournament Schedule

Welcome to the Western Washington Chapter PGA tournament calendar for 2019. Here you will find a list of all the Chapter tournament events and a link to entry forms and results. Entry forms will be posted when they become available.

Washington State’s top assistant PGA golf professionals will take on The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge for the chance to be crowned the 2019 Pelzer Golf Supplies Washington State Assistants Champion.

                              

Defending Champion: Mitchell Berschauer, Overlake G&CC

PAST CHAMPIONS

Competition:  18 Holes – Stroke Play.
Women will play for the same purse from seperate tees. The field will be divided by course handicap into two equal divisions with a gross and net purse for each.  If the handicap break between divisions is 1 or less, then Division One will be gross only with a payout equal to Division Two gross & net combined.  The champion will have a separate payout and may come from either division.

Eligibility:  Eligibly employed A-8’s, apprentices and A-6’s (at a facility that employs either an A-1 or A-14 professional) working as an ASSISTANT in the Western Washington, Central Washington, and Inland Empire Chapters, with PNW PGA Section playing privileges.

Entry Fee:  $100
Players may sell raffle tickets to offset their entry fee.
Funds from additional tickets sold will go directly into the tournament purse!

WWC PGA Champions Pro-Am – The GC at Newcastle @ The Golf Club at Newcastle - Coal Creek

FORMAT – Two Player Best Ball (Pro/Amateur) – Gross & Net

Professionals, invite your club champions to join you at the Pro-Member event at The Golf Club at Newcastle.  You may play with up to three club champions (Ex. Men, Ladies, Senior, Net, Gross).  Professionals should fill an entire foursome, non club champions are welcome to play.  There is no additional entry fee, and the Champions Pro-Am will compete for Kusak Crystal only.    You can have up to three different two-person club champion teams.  There will be a check box for club champions on the registration page.

There will be a normal 4-player Pro-Member payout.

Monday, April 15 – Event Seeding

The Pro-Member event at The Golf Club at Newcastle will act as the seeding qualifier.

Registration Deadline: Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 5:00pm

Matches will be posted on May 1st.

MATCH DEADLINES

Round 1 – May 31
Round 2 – June 3
Round 3 – July 31
Semi-Finals – August 31
Finals – September 30

ENTRY FEE: $100

Limited to the first 32 players

Professionals not playing in the seeding qualifier will be allowed to fill the remaining open spots.  They will be seeded randomly after the players who participated at The GC at Newcastle on 4/15.

Competition will be gross match play.  Competitors are to arrange their own site and date to play their matches, inside the time frame established by the Tournament Committee.  A competitor not present for his match shall be deemed to have conceded the match.  If neither player is present for a designated match, the match may be rescheduled as long as it is before the deadline.  If a match cannot be played prior to the deadline, both are deemed to have forfeited and the next opponent will receive a bye. All disputes shall be resolved by the Tournament Committee and its decision shall be final.

Registration Deadline: April 30th at 5:00pm

Limited to the first 16 players

Matches will be posted as soon as the field is full or on May 1st.

Entrants will be divided into four geographic regions and the matches will be scheduled by blind draw inside those geographic regions.
You shouldn’t have to travel very far for your first two matches.

Competition will be gross match play.  

Competitors are to arrange their own site and date to play their matches, inside the time frame established by the Tournament Committee.  A competitor not present for his match shall be deemed to have conceded the match.  If neither player is present for a designated match, the match may be rescheduled as long as it is before the deadline.  If a match cannot be played prior to the deadline, both are deemed to have forfeited and the next opponent will receive a bye. ELIGIBILITY

Head Professionals, Directors of Golf, Directors of Instruction, or GM’s and THEIR assistants with full Chapter playing privileges registered in the Western Washington Chapter. A-6’s in a non-assistant role are not eligible. Pro’s may enter multiple times with up to three assistants on a space available basis. Non-traditional teams are encouraged to consult with Brian Coury prior to entry to ensure eligibility.

COMPETITION

The Championship will be 36 holes better ball stroke play. Gross and Net prizes. Teams with a pro playing from the senior tees are not eligible to win gross better ball prizes.
A Gross Team Skins Game is included each day.
