Developing Our Next Generation of Leaders
Launched in November 2025, WWC PGA LEAD identifies, mentors, and develops PGA Members and Associates for volunteer leadership. Beginning at the Chapter level, the program prepares participants for opportunities to serve within the Section, the PGA of America, and their communities.

Support Members and Associates from all backgrounds through leadership development, mentorship, and opportunities to become involved in Chapter, Section, and community leadership.
Program Overview
This 12-month program develops leadership skills, supports inclusion, and prepares participants for governance responsibilities. Graduates are encouraged to serve on committees and boards, pursue elected leadership roles, and lead initiatives at their facilities and in their communities.
- Cohort size: Up to five participants annually.
- Monthly virtual sessions: Learning on governance, communication, strategic leadership, and related topics.
- In-person experiences: Networking, mentorship, and opportunities to observe Board and committee meetings.
- Committee involvement: Participants are asked to join a committee of their choice soon after entering the program and are encouraged to contribute actively.
Who Can Apply?
PGA Members and Associates in good standing who have completed Level 1 are eligible to apply. Applicants should have a desire to serve the Association and an interest in leadership and governance.
Participants are expected to attend monthly virtual meetings and in-person meetings throughout the year.

“Being able to attend the board meeting the other week was an awesome and extremely valuable experience! Listening to our chapter leadership discuss our future with the amount of passion and attention to detail they had was inspiring and made me feel like we as a chapter are incredibly lucky. As someone who wants to become more involved with governance and leadership, this was a great opportunity to gain experience to be used in future chapter board meetings/committee meetings, and even committee meetings I attend at Glendale.
