Brian Thornton, PGA teaching professional at Meridian Valley CC used his 2012 Club Car Chapter Championship victory to clinch the 2012 Player of the Year Award. It was the fourth Player of the Year award for Thornton, who also won it last year and in 2007 and 2008. Thornton had an impressive record indeed in 2012, winning the Oregon Open and WWC pro-member events at Suncadia Rope Rider, Fairwood, Port Ludlow and Meridian Valley; not to mention first place ties at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge and Rainier.
