Meridian Valley teaching professional Brian Thornton rolled in a downhill breaking birdie putt on the challenging 18th hole at RMG Club at Oakbrook to win the 2012 PING Champions Pro-Am on the first play-off hole. Thornton and club champ Todd Densley had tied with Twin Lakes G&CC assistant professional Issac Henry-Cano and his club champ, Leon Xu at 5 under par 66 over the regulation 18 holes. Overall low gross went to the Meridian Valley CC team of head professional Greg Manley and Mike Haack at 65; and the club swept the titles when assistant professional Wes Hayden and partner Bill Lincoln took low net honors at 62!
