Vision:
To identify, mentor, and guide PGA Members and Associates along a defined path toward volunteer leadership within the PGA of America and their communities.
Focus:
The WWC PGA LEAD Committee supports Members and Associates from all backgrounds by creating leadership development pathways, fostering mentorship relationships, promoting engagement in Chapter, Section, and community leadership roles
Program Overview
The WWC PGA LEAD program is a 12-month leadership initiative focused on professional development, inclusion, and governance readiness. Graduates will be equipped and encouraged to serve on Chapter and Section committees or boards, run for elected leadership roles and lead impactful initiatives in their facilities or communities
Program Includes:
- Cohort Size: Up to 5 PGA LEAD Members annually
- Monthly Sessions: Virtual learning on governance, DEI, communication, and strategic leadership
- In-Person Events: Two events per year to network, observe governance, and engage with mentors
- Capstone Project: Participants complete and present a leadership project aligned with Chapter goals
- Mentorship: Structured mentor relationships support personal and professional growth
- Support: One in-person event per year with reimbursed travel (pre-approved)
2025–2026 Committee Goals
- Establish and define the WWC PGA LEAD program structure
- Develop a step-by-step mentor/associate process by November 15, 2025
- Identify 5 LEAD participants by December 1, 2025
- Host 2 in-person events for LEAD participants in 2026
- Host monthly calls with all participants
