Brian Thornton, teaching professional at Meridian Valley CC, rolled in a lengthy birdie putt on the third playoff hole to win his fourth Club Car WWC PGA Chapter Championship over John Cassidy, new assistant professional at Alderbrook G&YC. Cassidy’s rounds of 66, 71 matched Thornton’s 69,68 and edged third place finishers Keith Coleman of Harbour Pointe GC and Mike Toll of Maplewood GC by a single stroke.
Toll’s 138 was good for Senior Division crown, over Rich Friend of Tacoma C&GC and Mike Gove of Inglewood GC at 145. Pete Dixon of Interbay GC won the senior net division at 141.
Sam Smith of Indian Summer G&CC won the 2nd Division with a 141 total and Dixon, Justin Gravatt of Alderbrook G&YC and Mike Campbell of Meridian Valley CC all tied for 2nd Division net honors.
Kenney Boyd and Chris Lisk of Glendale CC in Bellevue won the Washington State Pro-Assistant Championship with a 10 under par 132 best-ball total. David Kass and Jacob Lippold of Salish Cliffs GC finished a single shot back with Gravatt and Cassidy another shot behind in third place.
