The Western Washington PGA mourns the passing of PGA Life Member Century Thomas Hostetter, who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 81.
Born in Seguin, Texas, Tom’s lifelong love of the game led him to a distinguished career in golf. He became a PGA Member on February 1, 1974, and spent more than five decades sharing his passion and expertise with players and fellow professionals alike.
Tom served as the Head Professional at Alderbrook Golf & Yacht Club from 1978 to 1983, where he was known for his steady leadership and commitment to growing the game. He later dedicated nearly a decade to Lakeland Village Golf Course as a Teaching Professional and Assistant Professional from 1997 to 2006, working under Randy Jensen and mentoring countless students and colleagues.
Between 1993 and 1997, Tom pursued his dream of competing at the highest level on the Senior Tour, a testament to his skill, determination, and love of competition.
A respected member of the Western Washington Chapter, Tom’s legacy lives on through the many lives he touched during his long and impactful career. He will be remembered for his professionalism, mentorship, and the deep care he brought to every aspect of his work.
