Gibbons Wins 2025 7 Cedars Senior Washington Open in Playoff Finish
Rob Gibbons delivered a clutch performance at The Cedars at Dungeness, sinking a 15-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to win the 2025 7 Cedars Senior Washington Open. He edged out seasoned competitors Jeff Coston and Mark Knowles to claim the title after all three players finished tied at the top of the leaderboard.
The final round presented a significant challenge for the field, with high winds sweeping across the Olympic Peninsula and making scoring conditions difficult. Gibbons’ steady play and timely birdie on the playoff hole stood out on a day when many struggled to find momentum.
It was a banner week for Gibbons, who also led his team from Arrowhead Golf Club in Molalla, Oregon, to victory in the team competition. Alongside Pat O’Donnell, Brad Carey, and Jeff Feller, the Arrowhead squad navigated the elements with consistent play to top the leaderboard.
