Coston Wins Eighth 7 Cedars Senior Washington Open Invitational
Jeff Coston of Semiahmoo G&CC fired a final round 67, fueled by a 5 under par front nine, to win the 2015 7 Cedars Casino Senior Washington Open Invitational by 3 strokes over Amateur Champion Mike Kloenne of Columbia Edgewater CC. Coston’s 12 under par 204 included rounds of 69,68 & 67 as he improved by 1 shot each day. Byron Patton of Eastmoreland GC finished alone in third at 211, followed by Scott Williams of Glendale CC, Steve Prugh of Manito G&CC and Tom Brandes of Rainier G&CC at 212.
The team championship ended up in a tie between the team of Shelton, WA professional Brian Davis, Rich Schneider, Bill Jackson, and Gary Thorne and the team of Sahalee CC professional Jim Pike, Erik Hanson, Greg Steed and Paul Sell.
