“VALLEY” TEAMS WIN IT ALL
The Meridian Valley CC team of professional Brian Thornton and junior Ben Dubois of Fairwood G&CC shot a gross best ball 65 to narrowly win the 2013 Wilson Staff WWC PGA Pro-Junior Best Ball. Close behind with 66 were Derek Barron and Chase Carlson of Tacoma Firs GC and Monte and Mitchell Koch of the PGA of America and Meridian Valley CC.
The net division was closer yet with three teams tied at 11 under par 61! However, the Sudden Valley G&CC of professional Greg Paul and daughter Jennifer Paul won the scorecard playoff due to a strong back-9 finish to capture the trophy. Also at 61 were the host professional Marti O’Neill and junior Riley Ohashi and Jon Schrader and TPC Snoqualmie Falls junior Neil Cooper.
